The South Carolina Chapter of the American Planning Association (SCAPA) Board proposes an amendment to the Chapter By-Laws to adjust membership dues. This adjustment will bring SCAPA’s rates in line with those of neighboring APA chapters and ensure the Chapter can continue to expand services—including legislative tracking, additional regional events, website improvements, and enhanced AICP preparation resources—while maintaining its two annual conferences. The recommended change increases standard rates from 15% to 20% of National APA dues (approximately $15 annually) and adjusts the non-APA member rate from $35 to $75. Student and other membership categories remain unchanged. Voting on the proposed change will run through October 31, 2025.
