Proposal due August 30, 2024 at 5:00 PM

The City of Raleigh has published an RFP for consultant services for the Northeast Special Study Area (NESSA). Could you please publish the information below and attached RFP on the APA-SC website?

The City of Raleigh Department of Planning & Development invites firms to submit proposals for consulting services for the Northeast Special Area Study. The project scope includes area planning focusing on land use and transportation planning, infrastructure sufficiency planning, natural resource conservation planning, and public participation and engagement. The city seeks to engage one or more teams to provide specified multidisciplinary technical services. The Northeast Special Area Study boundary contains approximately eight and a half square miles located in Wake County, northeast of Raleigh’s current city limits and extraterritorial planning jurisdiction. When Raleigh’s Future Land Use Map was adopted in 2009, the Northeast Special Study Area was delineated as an area of future growth for Raleigh, needing additional study and community engagement to determine detailed recommendations for land use, infrastructure, and natural resource planning.

Please see the attached document for more details. The RFP is also posted on the North Carolina electronic Vendor Portal. The deadline for responses is Friday, August 30 by 5:00 PM. For questions, please contact me at bronwyn.redus@raleighnc.gov, 919-996-2183
