Summary:
The City of Belmont is seeking proposals for the creation of an area specific master plan for the Belmont Waterfront Village Center. This effort is a significant opportunity to transform an underutilized waterfront into a vibrant, mixed-use destination that reflects Belmont’s identity, enhances economic vitality, and expands public access to the river.
The City of Belmont updated it’s Comprehensive Land Use Plan last year, which recommended the creation of a new Village Center area which we have tentatively identified as “Waterfront”. The plan noted the desire for tactful redevelopment of this area to capitalize on Belmont’s few remaining areas of shoreline – envisioning the possibility for unique dining options, waterfront sports, parks and trails, and several complementary types.
