General Description:
Under general direction and in compliance with standard operating procedures and policies, assists with administering the city’s land management and related ordinances. Works with developers to improve compliance of proposed developments with adopted city plans, regulations, and design guidelines. Administers the land management and related ordinances. Researches and prepares amendments to the land development regulations. Investigates violations for the land management ordinances. Reviews development proposals to ensure compliance with land development regulations. Inspects properties with the Building Codes Division to translate development requirements before converting uses/occupancies. Provides technical assistance to City staff and public regarding land development regulations. Attends board and community meetings that extend beyond the normal work schedule. Serves as liaison to assigned boards or commission (e.g., Planning Commission, Design Review Board, and Board of Zoning Appeals), coordinating agenda item processes and preparing staff reports.
